About the role

We are looking for Data Engineer to build and maintain data systems. You will also construct datasets that are easy to analyze and support company requirements. Besides, you will also implement methods to improve data reliability and quality, combine raw information from different sources to create consistent and machine-readable formats. As a Data Engineer, you will:

  • Combine raw information from different sources;
  • Analyse and organize raw data;
  • Build and maintain data systems and ETL pipelines;
  • Monitor and test the pipelines;
  • Evaluate business needs and objectives;
  • Interpret trends and patterns;
  • Conduct complex data analysis and report on results;
  • Explore ways to enhance data quality and reliability;
  • Develop analytical tools and programs;
  • Collaborate with data analysts, product managers and other stakeholders on several projects;
  • Monitor the cost of data systems.

About you

To be considered for this role, here are the skills we’re looking for:

  • Previous experience as a data engineer or in a similar role;
  • Experience in Python language (Object Oriented Programming, unit testing, APIs, etc);
  • Knowledge about ETL pipelines;
  • Experience with SQL;
  • Experience with Airflow;
  • Experience with Version Control systems (github, etc);
  • Experience working with a columnar database (Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake);
  • Hands-on experience with dimensional modelling;
  • Great analytical skills;
  • Degree in Computer Science, IT, or similar field; a Master’s is a plus;
  • Experience working with AWS is a plus;
  • Experience working with Heroku is a plus;
  • Experience working with dbt is a plus;
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders;
  • Strong problem-solving skills to address data-related challenges efficiently;
  • Analytical mindset for evaluating data solutions and making informed decisions;
  • A collaborative approach to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team;
  • Excellent time management and task prioritization skills;
  • Willingness to learn and stay updated with evolving data technologies.
