About Us
Orbital Materials develops advanced materials and chemical processes by bridging the worlds of AI, synthetic chemistry, and chemical engineering. We are hiring a full time chemistry researcher to work onsite in our newly built laboratory just outside of Princeton, NJ.
About the Role
Your duties will include:
Synthesis, characterization, and application testing of porous materials such as zeolites and MOFs
Work with our multidisciplinary teams (including computational chemists, machine learning researchers, and chemical engineers) to design and synthesize new materials
Evaluate potential applications for advanced functional materials
Analyze data and present results both internally and externally to partners
Qualities that we are looking for include:
PhD or post-doc in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Materials Science with focus on zeolites, MOFs, porous polymers or other classes of adsorbents
Experience in porous materials or polymer synthesis
Experience in adsorbent characterization and testing such as PXRD, TGA, BET, SEM
Experience evaluating materials for gas separation applications or catalysis such as dynamic breakthrough testing
Demonstrated ability to independently high-impact results in materials chemistry
