In Portugal, the Associação Pedalar Sem Age was created in 2018 to manage the international movement Cycling Without Age in Portugal, based in the city of Lisbon. Currently, the Association is dedicated to implementing a set of social responses aimed at the elderly and people with reduced mobility in the country, combating loneliness, abandonment and unwanted isolation, through free Trishaw rides through volunteers. We believe in cognitive stimulation of our elderly through experiences, taking them to do things that everyone tells them are no longer possible and to places they thought they could never go again. In 2021, you can now find Pedalar Sem Age in Lisbon, Cascais and Castro Verde. Soon, we will have more news about new locations. Cycling Without Age is an attitude, a way of being in life, it's about human relationships, generosity towards those who don't have access to life's small pleasures, about doing things slowly and with purpose and about the stories that inspire us.
