About the Role

We’re hiring a Senior Fashion Authenticator – Team Lead to ensure that only genuine designer items are listed on Thrift+. You’ll be the go-to expert for authentication and lead a small team of authenticators, maintaining rigorous quality standards and helping improve our authentication processes as we grow.

Working from photos and the physical garments themselves, you’ll review clothes, shoes, and accessories submitted by our customers to assess their authenticity. You’ll also support team training, second-line checks, and help refine internal protocols.

This is a part-time role (10–20 hours per week) and would ideally suit someone based near Market Harborough, where our main operations hub is located. A mix of remote and on-site work is possible.

Responsibilities

• Authenticate designer and premium items using photographic or physical inspection
• Provide leadership, quality control, and guidance to a small authentication team
• Request additional item details where needed to make confident decisions
• Help improve and document authentication procedures
• Communicate clearly and confidently with internal teams
• Use our internal system to manage workflow and team oversight

What You’ll Need

• Strong knowledge of designer and premium fashion brands
• Proven experience authenticating fashion items across categories
• Experience leading or mentoring within a team
• Exceptional attention to detail and high accuracy standards
• Excellent communication skills
• Comfortable using tech tools and web-based platforms
• Ideally based in or near Market Harborough, with availability for on-site work when needed
• A proactive, adaptable mindset in a fast-moving environment

What We Offer

• Pro rata salary of £30,000 – £35,000
